Strangely Familiar documents the result of a collaborative project between myself and twenty-four participants from the Corner Brook region. I established a digital studio in the Grenfell Campus Art Gallery and spent six weeks working there. Members of the community were invited to work with me in the creation of a series of collaborative images. There were four different sessions and each group took on a slightly different focus. Consistent throughout, however, was that participants were provided with a pinhole camera and each made an image of their dwelling spaces. I then created an image in response to each image, integrating the pairings into one pictorial space, and displayed the resulting prints.
